Best Time to Visit Valley of Flowers

June and July:- In these months, one can see waterfalls and beautiful glaciers in the valley of flowers. Visiting this month is a great option since there will be little rain and the flowers are just starting to bloom.

August and September:- The snow starts melting in May, and new plants begin to sprout and grow until August. One can see a lot of flowers blooming till mid-August. One can say that August and September are the best months for seeing a maximum number of flowers in the valley of flowers.

Itinerary

Day 01: Rishikesh To Govidghat (Drive-270 KM, 10 Hr) 

We will start the day early morning from Rishikesh to Govindghat, from Rishikesh to Devprayag we will move along with the river Ganga. At Devaprayag you can witness the holy confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda Rivers. After Devprayag we will take the route of Srinagar, Joshimath along with the Alaknanda river.

The route is extremely beautiful where you can enjoy the view of river Alaknanda, Gochar market, Karanprayag, Peepalkoti, Joshimath & Govindghat market. Govindghat is a small town on the route where you can have access to mobile networks, ATM, scenic view of step farming.

Day 02: Govindghat to Ghangaria (14 KM/7 Hr ) 

We will start early morning for Ghangaria to Govindghat & First 7 km is connected by muddy road, you can opt vehicle for that also, it is optional. After that, you can start the trek on foot. At Ghangaria we have arranged a tent set up for you. Evening snacks & dinner will be served at tents

 Day 03: Ghangaria to Valley of Flower & Back to Ghangria (Trek 10 Km, one-way 5 Km/ 3hrs)

After breakfast from Ghangaria base camp, we will move in the early morning towards the Valley of Flowers. The trek is well maintained by Govt department, here you need to cross many small bridges, waterfalls & streams. This valley offers you scenic views with mountains, green meadows, flowers land, birds, different species of butterflies, medicinal plants & stones. After taking no’s of photographs, videos & films we will come back to Ghangaria by the same trek. Evening snacks & Dinner will be served in tents.

Day 04: Ghangaria to Rishikesh (Trek 10 Km/3 Hr & 270 Km Drive )

On day four we will start trek downwards to Govindghat after having light breakfast, after a 3-hour journey we will reach Govindghat, Here we arranged a four-wheel-drive till Rishikesh. Lunch & Tea will be served on the way.

How to reach By Air: The Jolly Grant Airport, also known as Dehradun Airport, is approximately 22 km southeast of Dehradun and connects the city to most major domestic destinations.  

By Train: Dehradun Railway Station links the city to all of India’s major cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Kolkata, Varanasi, and Vadodara.

By Road: The road network of Dehradun is well-developed. To go to Dehradun from Delhi or any other neighboring city, you can either drive or hire a cab/taxi. Regular bus connections to and from Dehradun are also available, thanks to the strong road network.
