About the place

Har ki Doon valley is the world famous valley in the Garhwal Himalayan region(Mori Block, Uttarkashi). This valley is famous for it’s natural scenic views & peace. Here you can enjoy the views of alpine pasture lands (Bugyals), Oak Trees , Buransh , Devbdaar and different species of flowers, animals & birds, which may fall you in love with beauty of the Har Ki doon. In the months of winter this entire valley is covered with snow which feels like heaven on earth. Flowing river in the valley & white stone in between the river looks like the river of heaven. While going to this valley we have to go by ancient villages like Sankari, Gangaad, Pawani Ghat & Osla. These Villages are known by their Houses Architecture, Wood Art, Wood Paintings, Himalayan Goat & Sheep , Organic Rajma,Organic Potato, Oraganic Badri Cow Ghee & simplicity of villagers. While staying at the night in this valley ,

it looks like that the stars and galaxy has covered us and moon is spreading silver lights and starts twinkling along with the chirping of the birds are telling you lullaby .Falling meteorite looks like that Lord Shiva is giving you the boon by which you can fulfill your all wishes. In morning entire valley is covered with saffron color of the sun & the mountains looks like that it is covered with gold plate which make your morning memorable. This valley offers you various type of views of fountains, mountain range , mountains (Swaragarohini. Blackpeak , Bandoorpoonch etc.)

Trip Highlights:

This trek is famous in between the beginner trekkers. This trek start from Sankari village & cover the Taluka , Gangaad & Osla Villages & beautiful meadows, mountains , devdaaru forest and end up with snow covered mountains & river.

Village Drashan:

We will provide you short period of time to visit the Osla & Gangaad Village

Livelihood Activity Support:

We provide you an opportunity to adopt a children for their education , adopt a family for the lighting the house (Villagers don’t have National Grid for powering the house), buy the Organic Rajma, Patato, Amlach & other local produce & handicrafts.

Pahadi Food will be served along with Indian and Continental Food.

ITINERARY

Day 1

Dehraciun to Sankari & Stay at Sonkari Vilage Hotel/Homestay) (Road Trip:210 KM, Time Duration: 7-8 Hour)

Day 2

Sankari to Gangood (Adventure Rood Trip 10 Km & Trekking of 10 Km till Gorgood Village, Stay & Food at tents, Time Duration: 5-6|| Hour)

Day 3

Gongaad to Seemadra (Trek of 9 Km & Stay in Tents at Scomadra, Time Duration: 5.6 Hour)

Day 4

Semadra to Har Ki Doon & back to Seemodro(Trek of 14 Km & Stay in Tents at Seemadra, Time Duration: 5-7 Hour)

Day 5

Seemodro to Gangoad Trek of 9 Km Stay in Tents at Gargoad Village & Gangad Village Darshan, Time Duration: 4 Hour)

Day 6

Gangood to Sonkori (Trek of 10 KM & Road Trip: 10 Km & Stay in Hotel/Homestay, Time Duration: Trek 4-5 Hour, Road Trip: 1 Hour)

DAY 1

DEHRADUN TO SANKRI VILLAGE (Drive-210 KM)

In this morning we will start at early towards the Sankri by the route of Mussoourie . In between we will see the Kempty Fall , River Yamuna & Cable Bridges. After three hour of long drive we will reach at Purola town which is the last big town on the route where you can have your food , telephonic conversation with your family members , scenic view of step farming & will buy necessary things to carry which are left . After Purola we will go through the dense forest of pine , tons River ,apple orchards and enjoy the natural beauty till Sankari. After reaching Sankri we will move to our home stay/hotel, where we will have refreshment.

Night Stay :

Base Camp Sankari(Hotel/Homestay/Tent)

Village Sankri:

Sankari is the base camp for the all the major treks of in this route. It’s a very beautiful village where you can enjoy the snow covered Mountain Ranges, Rivers , Apple Orchards & Cold weather.

Dinner:

Dinner will be served in Hotel/ Homestay ( Our food will be mix of Indian & Pahadi Cuisine, We will serve you Organic Red Rice with Aromatic Rajma which have by born flavor of Garlic & Onion , Chapaties of Amranths and Wheat , Vegetable Soup, Mix Veg ,Pickle of Lingdi & Badri Cow Ghee).

DAY 2

Sankari to Gangaad/Seema(10 km Trek )

At early morning we will leave Sankari Village by having Breakfast with hot tea . Here you have to ready for an adventure journey of next 10 km by road till the Taluka, road is muddy and full of high adventure. Those who do not have fear from long narrow channel in between the mountains can take the window seat. From Taluka onwards we will start trek till Gangaad village, in between you can take rest & enjoy the scenic views of rivers , step farming , Buransh Flower etc . In between the trek we will serve you packed lunch along with packed juice . At Gangad we will set our camp for the night & In evening you can visit Gangaad Village This village is famous for its traditional wood painting at houses , Architecture of Pahadi Houses , Lambs etc. The local deity is Someshwar Mahadev, A big temple stands in his honor in the centre of the village courtyard Dinner: Pahadi & Indian Food.

DAY 3

Gangaad to Seemadra (9 km Trek, 6-7 Hour)

At early morning we will leave camp by having Breakfast with hot tea . Here you have to prepare your self for little bit tough trek in comparison of first day. The trek is steep in many parts and make you feel tired at many parts. The simple step to cross the steep is move slowly ,take rest & have water. In between the trek you will find the different species of flowers & trees till Seemadra. In between we will serve you packed lunch. After 9 Km of trek we will reach at Seemadra. Seemadra is in between of valley where we will put our tents and firewood. From here we can enjoy the mesmerizing view of forest, mountains ,sunset , Hata Peak , Two Horn Peak & Har Ki Doon Valley. Dinner: Evening snacks with Hot tea will be served at tents . Dinner with Pahadi Cuisine will be served at tents. Those trekkers who want to learn cooking of Pahadi cuisine will be taught by our Chef.

DAY 4

Seemadra to Har ki Doon & Back to Seemadra(14 km Trek)

The trek today is mostly uphill and steep and cover with fountains, narrow route, Stones & Chilled weather while going upwards . In between the trek you will enjoy The beautiful views of the Mountains , Fountains, Flowers , Sheep Heard , Bhotiya Dogs & Birds. After three to four hour trek we will reach at the Har Ki Doon Valley. The valley is a beautiful covered by the lush Gree Meadows,Towering clifs , Big rocks (Above 20 Ft), Beautiful river , chilled wind & it’s give you an opportunity to take no’s of photographs of scenic views , birds & trees .which will give you feeling for feel to fly in the sky.The meadows here are full of alpine flowers. You can explore the entire ground in about two or three hour.After staying 3-4 hours at Har ki doon we will come to our base camp.

Dinner:

Evening snacks & Lunch will be served at tents

DAY 5

Seemadra To Gangaad ( 9KM)

We will start journey early morning towards the Gangaad village. In between the trek we will visit the Osla village after that we will visit micro hydel project at Pawani ghat and stay at Tents in Gangaad Village. In evening we will arrange your meeting with Village padhan for the development of the village or you can select the family or children for the Lighting the Rural lives program or Livelihood generation program for the Self Help Group under the monitoring of Sustainable Himalayan Trekking.

DAY 6

Gangaad to Sankri Village(Trek 10 Km & Road Trip 10 Km)

After Having the breakfast we will start our journey to Sankri village . The trek has slope downwards . After 4-5 hour trekking we will reach Taluka & Taluka onwards by road till Sankri Village. Here you will have night stay at hotel /Homestay Dinner & Evening Snacks: Kadayi Paneer , Egg Curry & White Rajma will be served along with chapaties & Rice.

DAY 7

Sankari to Dehradun (Road Trip -210 Km)

On day Seven we will start our journey from Sankri to Dehradun by private transport

Backpack of 30-50 Ltr And Day Pack of 20 Ltr
Small Torch
Water Filter(In case you have problem with water from outside, we can serve boiled water on demand )
